Businesses worldwide are undergoing two significant transformations: the shift towards corporate sustainability and the rise of digitalization, collectively known as the “Twin Transition”. While digital innovations such as artificial intelligence and cloud computing can support sustainability efforts through efficiency and transparency increases, digitalization also presents numerous negative environmental and social challenges, think of e-waste creation, increasing energy use and outsourcing of work to developing nations. This interactive masterclass will show how sustainability and digitalisation can be interlinked for business representatives, and present new schools of thought regarding this Twin Transition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Before the session, there will be a 15minute presentation of the digital maturity barometer for Brussels-based companies. This barometer explored several themes to assess the level of digitalization among these companies: the rate of adoption of digital tools and skills, cybersecurity and measures to prevent cyberattacks, online presence and use of social media, online sales and purchases, and finally, the attitude towards artificial intelligence (AI) and other cutting-edge technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
